ATTITUDE is "MR. KNOW ALL" and "I DON'T MAKE MISTAKES"

A lot of us knowingly or unknowingly suffer from this syndrome which many term as 'MR KNOW ALL' or / and 'I DON'T MAKE MISTAKES'! This is what when we don't have words to define, call it 'ATTITUDE' or 'EGO'.

A funny thing I find, when I visit a lot of social networking sites, and the profile of various people from different backgrounds, everyone has this common line in their turn offs "I DONT LIKE PEOPLE WITH ATTITUDE". It is even funnier that most of them(sometimes even me :-)), behave like the ones having tons and tons of these things which we don't like to percievably not see in others. To put it in simple words, I wouldn't like to come across another person who has attitude to show like me ( me goes for people above).

However sometimes I know genuine people, who are extremely humble in their behaviour being termed the same way, not because they are of that nature, but because who are classifying them are "JEALOUS" of the achievements of those succesful people.

But one thing is for sure, you must be thinking how so much humble you are, since you keep analysing yourself critically, but the truth is, till the time someone doesn't come knocking on your door saying that you are having a bit of 'attitude' or 'ego', you don't really realise that unknowingly you might have also picked up the disease.

So I always believe in getting scrutinised by others than by myself !

LIFE=STATISTICS=LIFE

There are a lot of people around I see who are bored of the word "STATISTICS", but my life essentially revolves around this word which I think is good enough actually to define your whole life. Essentially, everyone of us, indulges in this partially atleast. Think a bit, don't you sometimes count, the speed at which you are driving, don't you sometimes think the number of glasses of water you drink in a day! Ok forget all of this, don't you think of getting to work/school or anywhere at a particular time. What is all this, it is statistics.

Some people(read me :)) over-indulge in numbers. I simply love defining everything in terms of numbers. Starting from the game I play, to the project I work in, the number of times I listen to a song, to the number of times I eat at a place. Life therefore looks simple to me, but complicated and boring to a lot many others. But I get a cool feeling being able to churn out numbers for my explanations.

But a word of caution, this tool of life, can be influenced and shown in the light in which you want to show it, and not necessarily the light it deserves to be shown in!! A common example of this is the cricket statistics, which can sometimes raise a player to the stature of "GOD", and the next moment doom him to "HELL".

Advice for all is : Do use statistics to some extent, don't over-indulge in them, but they sure can make your life interesting!!

SATISFACTION IN SAYING "SORRY" and ways to say it!

In life, people often think that the most difficult thing to do for them is to accept their own mistakes, and saying sorry. Yes, at the first instance when you are defending yourself, it is! But the next moment, you think calmly and analyse what the other person did/said, you feel like apologizing, don't hold back then! Go straight and say it ---"SORRY". It is like a jinx, trust me, once you do it the first time, the second time is even easier, and then it comes naturally. But doing it the first time requires you to do a lot of soul-searching.

I didnt say "SORRY" till I was in college, but since I have been a happier person, satisfied that I can accept my mistakes if I make them.

There are multiple ways of saying "SORRY" :
1. When you say the word, just as another word in your vocabulary, it actually isn't what you really care about, which is even worse than not saying the word. Most of us do it!
2. When you say the word, crying(girls, girls!!!), that makes the person to whom it is being said feel sorry for his actions( I am biased to say him here not her), becuase guys seldom cry and say sorry
3. Saying sorry with a smile, this is the one which is all-conquering and actually shows your acceptance of the mistake. This is the one which is really genuine, and wins hearts!
4. Saying sorry being scared, this is actually not being sorry, but we say this because we feel the person with whom we are dealing is stronger than us, and if we don't comply we are going to get punished. This never helps both ways. This is one of the worst ones.
5. This is the last one, where you keep making the mistakes and keep repeating this word, then it has no value, because you are not learning what you should, and you have become so shameless to keep repeating the errors and even more shameless to accept it by saying "SORRY"

The day one goes with the option of number 3 above, he/she gets the maximum satisfaction in life, this is when you become pure. You love your life for some moments after you do this, a feeling which cannot be described, not comparable to anything else in life maybe........

Look back and think now, after all is it so difficult to "SAY SORRY"!!!!!!

Change of Mood--Defining the true character Self

Most people who have read my post, think I am a bit too boring, for a sprightly person to read on. However the write-ups connect well with folks who are loners! But I would now change my perspective slightly to sound interesting--An attempt!

Life is not a serious place, atleast not always, Ever since I have started being independent away from family, I have learnt a lot of things: Cooking, washing clothes, Buying vegetables, Bargaining and become a movie freak, who eagerly waits for a new movie to come off the shelf of Bollywood.

Folks who watched Bachna Ae Haseeno, just a warning, Microsoft doesn't give you a 6 month vacation, if that would have been the case it would have been mind-blowing :).

Live life to the fullest, live your passion about anything you do by your sleeve, atleast this keeps me ticking, making me look aggressive at times, and serious at others, but that is the fun quotient in my life. My craving for perfection or rather to put it, "TO BE PERCIEVED TO BE STRIVING FOR PERFECTION" is something I usually achieve.

May be that is one of the reasons, I haven't been able to chose the ultimate friend of life till to date. But that is O.K. One day I would find a person as imperfect as me myself in Life!

You can leave your comments about the movie reviews here!

I have now been taking this job slightly more seriously, as compared to what I was doing in the past, since I have got some cool reviews. I would like you to share a critical review of the reviews I have tried my hand at.

Being Lonely- A drug effect

It often feels I am one of those few unlucky ones who is so lonely, who has no friend, and family faraway. The next moment I narrate it to someone I meet and gather sympathy, and when he or she lends a helping hand of company, I suddenly feel getting bored, and feel I was happy when I was all alone.

Then one day again I feel being lonely due to circumstances, and I start feeling the syndrome again, however with time I realise that I like being alone and lonely and also crib about it. It is not others who ignore me but it is me who wants to be ignored and spend a pecularly silent life.

This is known as the "LONELY DRUG EFFECT". Why drug effect? Because if you use this time when you are alone to gather your thoughts and do something positive which helps you overall in life or gives you satisfaction is something different, that cribbing about a lack of companion and gathering pity from people you interact. Because then one day without your knowing, you become a boring character who people who would be most happy avoiding, and the DAY this happens you are "REALLY LONELY" , that is when the drug has done the damage.

So all those guys who think they have no company, they are in a pitiable condition, look around there are a lot of people like you, it is just your vision towards life which needs to change, go ahead and extend your hands to make friends rather than expecting others to do it, and also learn to know them before you start off with your narration of life!

What I dream of- but dreams are always dreams!

"I" - Goes for all those who not the real self in life and playing characters always !

When I watch a movie, I like being the character, so I would always enjoy watching a hero who is not a real hunk, or a hearthrob, since although desperately I would like to be like him, it wouldnt be possible in this life. Therefore I would watch a movie where the hero has average looks or rather mild appearance.

When I would play, I would be so passionate that I would forget the boundaries of competition, and later come back thinking that I should have taken it as a game and not got so high on emotion during it, but try to think I am right and appreciate my sense of involvement. This in turn would make me look like being very silly infront of my friends.

I would love to crack a joke or two, look moody as I would feel it is stylish, I would act mature in front of my parents, I would try to act witty with my brother and show off being a cool dude. Every moment I would be playing a different character, think that it suits the time and people, but never realise who I am! Because when I would be alone, I would be yet dreaming about another character, so where and when is the time to discover me, myself!

How I would sometimes wish I was older, and the next moment I would like to get younger and innocent! What I want of life is difficult for me to find out. I would have to bank on the advice of my parents in deciding what I need to.

How I wish I would have a girlfriend, who would be so beautiful that the whole world would look in awe at her, and with envy towards me, but when that would be the case, I would end up being her security guard, and the most insecure person on earth. I would forget about my life completely either way, because when I have the "ONE" I would hardly talk to anyone, and when I would not have anyone, then I would crib not having the "ONE"!!!!!

WHen will I be me!

Reading - Improves your writing skills

People who read a lot get new ideas faster, that is why if it can be made as a habit or a hobby one would do well.Usually girls read more than boys, boys are mostly outdoors in their free time whereas girls are more into reading.Atleast that is what I have seen in my friend circle. I personally am not very fond of reading. Once when I was travellingfor more than 10 hours at a strech, I really got bored, and could feel what I was missing. There are people who also have different choices as well. For me whenever I have read a little bit it has either been thrillers or suspense. I guess a more read man or a woman would have termed both as the same :-)
Reading is also something which lends us varied perspectives if you are not one who is blessed with seniors who are really knowledgable. A person who is not coming out of a really rich cultural background, this is one weapon which he or she can useto climb up the ladders of learning real quick.
Reading is also something which helps in improving your writing skills. There was a time when I was forced into reading quite a bit of literature, that was the time when I used to use a lot of synonyms, for example Navjoy Singh Sidhu, offcourse he overdoes it mostly. That I guess comes out of excessive reading. A person should always try to maintain a fine balance which should never be crossed. One should not read so much that he goes eccentric.
At the end I would conclude with a slight regret, which is I wish I could read a bit more!! I would have been richer in my writing skills

Valentine's Day ------The great West v/s Us debate

Ever wondered how we have started adopting rituals of the west, is it for the good or not so good! I would assume till the time we adopt new things on the pretext of globalisation and dont forget our roots, our culture, our civilisation, we are fine! However it is a thin line which is mostly not visible to most of us making this transition, so we have to be careful, having said that it doesnt mean we would close our eyes and think that things are not happening in the world just because our eyes are closed!
We do celebrate New Year's eve, most of us don't we, so what is the hue and cry about this day!!
The only point is be happy and let be happy but don't forget your identity and try to pretend you are someone else who you are not!!!!!

Happiness and desires---- inter-related

When you feel happy!
Happiness should be the point where/when you are not sad! Happiness to some is moneyHappiness to some is powerHappiness to some is being the best Happiness to some is being a public figureHappiness to some is being a starBeing happy is a gift, a virtue not everyone gets from god!

I wish I could be......
When I was a kid, I wished to be the best cricketerWhen I was a teenager, I wished to be the best actorWhen I became an adult, I wish I could be the best entrepreneurWhen I came to know there are people who consider me an example, my wishes came true!Life teaches you success and targets, if we aim at the top, then do we manage to stay in the middle.

Life is lonely......yes it is ---old post

Life is lonely......yes it is especially when you stay away from you family thus far away that you can only wish to see them but not meet them ! The predicament lies in people not realizing that you are lonely but it eating up your life every bit. In between moments come when you are among near and dear ones and you treasure those precious moments and wish that they always remain with you! but alas you have to part with them and that is life.Hence it is lonely!!!!
